PANEL i for Windows® XP Embedded

FANUC developed and introduced the PANEL i featuring the Windows® XP Embedded as its operating system, and a highly reliable CompactFlash™ Card instead of the hard disk. The PANEL i with the Windows® XP Embedded maintains the same appearance and operability as the existing PANEL i, securing high reliability in a factory environment.

FEATURES

• Uses CompactFlash™ Card as a storage device, to improve anti-vibration characteristics and to extend ambient temperature
• Protects OS and Machine Tool Builder's application software against sudden power failure or virus attack by using EWF, Enhanced Write Filter, which prohibits to write data to CompactFlashTM™ Card
• Can use Windows application software in the market
• Provides two CPU types, Pentium M 1.6GHz and Celeron M 1.3GHz, as provided by the existing PANEL i
