Robot New Product: FANUC Modular RTUs

FANUC has developed and started sales of Modular RTUs which can be used with the M-710, R-1000 and R-2000 series of FANUC ROBOTs.

Features of the Modular RTU

• The length can be adjusted to fit perfectly
  By combining modules, the stroke length can be adjusted from 1 m to a maximum of 20 m, in increments of 0.5 m.
• Compact footprint, installable in narrow spaces
  The total width is no more than 900 mm, which is 34% narrower than conventional RTUs, allowing smooth installation in limited spaces.
• Smooth collaboration with FANUC ROBOTs
  Provides software functions such as the lifetime prediction according to the robot posture, and the collision detection.

Unlike conventional RTUs, which were specially designed for each system, the new modular RTU is a standard product same as FANUC ROBOTs, and can be used anywhere in the world with the support of FANUC’s global service network.
