New Products Open House Show 2025
The 34th New Products Open House Show was held at the Nature Hall at FANUC Headquarters for three days from May 19 (Mon) to May 21 (Wed).
More than 6,500 visitors attended this year, filling the venue with energy and excitement. Furthermore, the following two days, May 22 (Thu) and May 23 (Fri), were dedicated to overseas visitors, with over 900 guests participating from outside of Japan. They took a long close look at our new products and functions.
FA
In the FA corner, we highlighted our latest CNC - the FANUC Series 500i-A, with a completely redesigned basic configuration. This series offers better performance and is compatible with a wider range of machine tools. Another product, the FANUC Smart Digital Twin, was praised for its new features for optimizing machining processes more smoothly and with greater precision.
The energy-efficient αi-D series servo and the galvanometer scanner with enhanced performance also garnered much attention.
ROBOT
In the ROBOT corner, the remote operation demo was highly popular, with many expressing a desire to semi-automate hazardous tasks currently dependent on human workers. The rack-mounted SCARA robot, SR-9iA/R, received many compliments, as its world-class transport speed raised high hopes for boosting equipment performance. There was also strong interest in our lineup of robots, such as the food/cleanroom specification robots and the high-rigidity, high-precision robot M-810 designed for wet machining using cutting fluids.
ROBOMACHINE
The theme for the ROBOMACHINE corner was “ROBOMACHINE promotes automation and improves productivity.” The latest models of ROBODRILL, ROBOSHOT and ROBOCUT were on display in combination with ROBOTs as automated systems.
The new ROBODRILL DC Series was applauded for its improvements in cycle time reduction, thermal displacement measures, and chip discharging performance. The new ROBOSHOT SC Series, featuring an updated clamping mechanism, gained praise for being able to accommodate larger molds and offer high-speed operation. In addition, the live demonstration of the ROBOCUT’s new discharge control technology for high-precision mold machining received much favorable feedback.
Service
The Service corner featured the theme, “Service which targets a factory that never stops.” Here, “AI Servo Monitor,” which is a diagnostic service using IoT, was introduced, as well as “ZDT” of ROBOTs, “remote maintenance,” and the information site “MyFANUC,” which has become more convenient to use. Many visitors expressed their interest.
FANUC Academy
In the FANUC Academy corner, a FANUC Series 500i-A CNC used for practical training was exhibited. There were many who were curious about this training unit, leading to good opportunities to introduce the FANUC Academy. New Academy workshops and on-demand seminars were also presented, attracting much attention.
Family Tour
The New Products Open House Show was opened to the families of FANUC employees on May 24 (Sat). Approximately 1,000 employees and their families visited, and employees themselves had the chance to explain about new products to their families.
