FANUC CORPORATION

FANUC CORPORATION (hereinafter “FANUC”) is pleased to announce the completion of the Central Technical Center (hereinafter “the Central TC”), which has been under construction at its Headquarters campus. In conjunction, additional facilities, including an office building, have also been completed, resulting in the comprehensive renewal of the guest area*1.

Set amid a rich natural environment, FANUC Headquarters spans approximately 1.78 million square meters, with factories, research and development buildings, and office facilities distributed throughout the site. From a long-term perspective, FANUC has worked to optimize factory layouts and improve internal logistics efficiency, while also organizing facilities with careful consideration for customer traffic flow.

The guest area development project, which began construction in 2023, aims to streamline customer meetings and product demonstrations by consolidating the former Central Technical Center — previously located within the factory area — near the Main Building (Head Office Building).

In addition, by establishing an office building adjacent to and connected with the Main Building, FANUC has enhanced visitor convenience and strengthened the overall functionality of the guest area. In terms of building layout and exterior design, particular attention has been paid to harmonizing with the surrounding natural landscape, complemented by the planting of a diverse variety of trees.

About the Central Technical Center

The Central TC is a showroom and experience center that exhibits and demonstrates FANUC’s FA, ROBOT, and ROBOMACHINE products. Under the facility theme, “CX Arena: A Stage for Customer Experience – Working Together to Make Our Customers’ Dreams Come True and Creating New Values for the Future,” the Central TC offers the following functions:

  1. Promoting Product Value through Exhibits
Arenas #1 and #2 feature permanent, themed, and multi-purpose exhibition areas highlighting application examples and machining demonstrations.
  2. Promoting Performance Value through Live Testing
Customers can verify and evaluate performance under their intended machining conditions by using actual machines installed in the Test Arena, enabling FANUC to provide technical support with post-installation in mind.

In addition, the Central TC is the first FANUC building to obtain ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building) certification, the highest of the four-level rating under Japan’s Building-Housing Energy-efficiency Labeling System (BELS). For details, please refer to the separate release.

  • Facility Overview : Steel-frame construction; three stories above ground
  • Total Floor Area : Approximately 14,900 m²
  • Completion : March 2025

Landscape Design with Sensitivity to the Seasons

At FANUC Headquarters, forest management has been conducted with guidance from expert organizations, taking into account the aging of trees that grew as part of postwar reforestation efforts. FANUC has implemented a planting plan centered on broad-leaf trees native to the region, creating landscapes that reflect the changing seasons. The areas surrounding the Central TC and the office building have similarly been developed as planting zones that respect flora indigenous to the area.

*1 FANUC Headquarters’ guest area includes the Main Building and office building, the Central TC, FANUC Academy, the System Build Center (completed at the end of May 2025), and the Inaba Memorial Hall (main and annex buildings).
