ROBODRILL New product: FANUC ROBODRILL D116CS
We have added a new model with extended table stroke to the lineup of ROBODRILL DC series, the compact machining center.
To accommodate the trend toward larger automotive aluminum die-cast parts and semiconductor manufacturing components, we have expanded X-axis stroke to 1,100 mm and Y-axis stroke to 600 mm - approximately 1.5 times of existing model. The machine table is enhanced in working space of 1,250 mm x 600 mm and the maximum loading capacity of 600 kg, allowing the larger machining fixtures required for these bigger workpieces to be installed. Additionally, a 5-stage telescopic cover is equipped for the Y-axis, improving operability by reducing the distance from the machine front to the table to 183 mm.
Despite the enlarged mechanical structure, the cycle-time reduction technology characteristic of the ROBODRILL DC series is well retained. By newly adopting the directional acceleration/deceleration control, the downward acceleration of Z-axis achieves maximum 2.4 G, surpassing existing models. Together with the other features of DC series, such as thermal displacement compensation with temperature sensors or chip management technology with newly designed machine cover and coolant nozzles, it ensures high productivity through superior machine uptime.
We have also developed DDR-HPiB, a new version of an additional 1-axis rotary table DDR dedicated to ROBODRILL, featuring doubled motor torque to handle large and high-inertia machining fixtures. DDR-THPWiB, the trunnion unit using DDR-HPiB, offers a maximum swing diameter of Φ640 mm and an effective X-axis machining range of 975 mm, can make full use of the extended stroke of D116CS.
